I should have heeded his premonition,
As the master of horror had suggested,
This cheap electric enchantress is quite possessive,
She controls his waking and his dreams,
Demanding every minute,
Not content to share him, she brushes us aside,
His cultured acoustic and I are feeling quite neglected,
Since this other woman entered our still abode,
But, we are conjuring our own little magic,
And, soon she’ll understand the order in which we peck,
Now, where did I put the doll, pins, black candle, and matches….
